Two 'Wolves' Charged With Beating, Robbing Man

By Howard Schwach

Two thugs - part of a wolf pack that allegedly beat and robbed a Rockaway man in early June - have been arrested and charged in connection with the violent incident, The Wave learned this week.

Lamar Hilliard, 21, and Junior Greene, 19, were allegedly with three other young toughs who accosted Christopher Turner, 20, in front of 320 Beach 100 Street at about 11:55 p.m. on June 4, according to court records.

Hilliard told police the pack repeatedly punched and kicked his face and body, records show. While he was on the ground, one of those who attacked him went through his pockets and stole his cell phone, he said.

The vicious assault left Hilliard with a jaw broken in at least two places and other facial injuries. He was transported to Peninsula Hospital Center and then transferred to Long Island Jewish Hospital, were he underwent surgery.

Detectives from the 100 Precinct arrested Greene on July 6. Hilliard was arrested on August 1.

Court records show that both men live at 319 Beach 98 Street.

Hilliard was also arrested on June 24 for an assault on another man outside of 86-27 79 Street in Queens, court records show. In that case, Hilliard allegedly punched the victim in the head and neck with a closed fist. That case is pending in Queens Supreme Court. Hilliard was released on his own recognizance after his arraignment in that case.

Junior Green was arraigned on July 7 on charges of gang assault, three counts of robbery, assault and harassment. Bail was set at $50,000 and he remains in jail at press time.

Hilliard was arraigned August 1 on the charges from the most recent event: gang assault, three counts of robbery and assault, according to a spokesperson for Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown. His bail was set at $20,000 and he remained in jail at press time.
