MsGr McClancy High School Summer Basketball Day Camp

There is still time to register for the Monsignor McClancy High School Summer Basketball Day camp for Boys, which will be held on Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11.

Your son may register the morning of the first day of camp on Monday. Don Kent, the director of the camp for 24 years and the head coach of the Monsignor McClancy High School varsity basketball team, will provide transportation to and from the high school. The first pick up will be for campers at 8 a.m. in Breezy Point with the second pick up stop at 8:15 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales School. The third and final pickup stop will be at 8:30 a.m. in front of the library in Broad Channel.

The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the cost will be $160 which includes insurance, a camp t-shirt and a regulation size basketball. The camp will be divided into three age groups with daily teaching strategies and kids playing 2 games per day. Daily raffles will take place and contests in foul shooting, one on one and hot shot shooting will be held. Trophies will be awarded on Friday afternoon to the winning team in each division. Lunch will be on sale everyday in the cafeteria and transportation costs will be $40 for the entire week. The return time to the beach will be between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. It will be a fun learning experience.
