New Head Start Program Holds Open House
The program can service 176 children - from the ages of 2 years 9 months to the age of 5. It has six classrooms with the ability to integrate special needs children with the regular population and has services for children diagnosed with learning disabilities.
Angelina Alvarez-Davies, the education site director, said, "We want [the children] to learn the domains of learning...how to develop in all areas...such as science, math, language development and health and physical development."
Parents of children who attend the program can take part in workshops on various topics including nutrition, parenting classes and child abuse.
The program is currently accepting registration for the fall.
