Kite Festival Among Hot Happenings

Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and the New York Mets kicked off the Discover Queens in August campaign at Shea Stadium on Tuesday. Included in the borough's premier events is the annual New York Kite Festival at the Rockaways, which will return to Bay 9 at Jacob Riis Park Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. "It's a lot of fun," said Marshall.
