LAWS OF GOLF #2 : Your best round of golf will be followed almost immediately by your worst round ever. The probability of the latter increases with the number of people you tell about the former.

Low gross was scored by Peg Ansbro and low net by Marge Driscoll. Scores in the sixties included Doris Neimeth and Gail Clifford with 67 and Nancy Heffernan and Pam Armour with 69. Scoring in the seventies were: Bea Sharrock (71), Eileen Watson, Joan McNally, Mildred Seligman and Barbara Caramelli all had 72, Dotty Dunne (74), Betty Weed (75), Dotty Williams (76), and Marge Driscoll, Lil Hanratty, Pat Jordan and Lorraine Pierson all had 77, Bernice Carroll, Joanna Beck and Evie McVeigh had 78, and 79's were scored by Kay Miller, Ann Lane, Ann Dougherty, Alice Mateos and Pat Kelly.

Ruth Galligan had a chip-in-bird on #13 and Peg Ansbro on #5. Birdies were carded by Eileen Watson #17, Nancy Heffernan #10, Betty Weed #3, and Dotty Dunne #14. Chip-ins were had by Mildred Duffy #6, Marilyn Higgins #11, Pat Jordan #16, Alice Mateos #4, Bea Sharrock #12, and Peg Ansbro # 7.

Closest to the pin on #1 was Bernice Carroll and on #18 the winner was Gail Clifford. Eileen Watson won the 50/50.

The following is a message from our co-leaders, Mary Ellen Hogan and Sheila Schaberick: The Guys and Dolls tournament will be played on Thursday, July 13th at Riis Park. The cost of golf and lunch will be $20.00 per person. If you wish to come for lunch only (we hope you will) that will cost $10.00 per person. Please sign up early, space is limited.

You can call either MaryEllen Hogan at 634-1678 or Sheila Schaberick at 945-5231 for further information. Our golfers will meet at the course by 8:00am.
