Beach Club BBQ Benefit For McDonald House

The Beach Club and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island invite you to kick back and join former residents of the House, legislators, members of the Rockaway Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce and community members for a beach barbeque on Thursday, July 13 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Beach Club, 129 Beach 116 Street.

Hosted by Steve Good, proprietor of the Beach Club, the evening offers an opportunity for people of the Rockaways to meet and mingle with legislators.

Some of the highlights of the event include an open bar, musical entertainment and food, including coffee and dessert. All proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

"This is a perfectly delightful summertime activity!" said Silvana LaFerlita Gullo, Executive Director of the House. "We are looking forward to sharing an enjoyable evening with Steve Good and all our friends of the Rockaway community."

The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a "home away from home" for families who are caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. Located on the campus of Schneider Children's Hospital, the House has been opened since 1986 and has helped more than 9,000 families. Most families are from Nassau and Suffolk Counties and the five boroughs of New York City.
