SJEH Hosts National Safety Month

During National Safety Month, June 2006, St. John's Episcopal Hospital celebrated with a Patient Safety Fair. The purpose of the Fair was to raise awareness about the National Patient Safety Goals, an initiative aimed at making patients' hospital stays safer through improved work practices. The Hospital's Patient Safety Group gave out educational literature to patients, visitors and staff in the lobby. Participants included (from left to right): Cheryl Smith, Performance Improvement; Armando "AC" Colon, volunteer; Rowena Ancheta, Administration; Sharon Behar, RN, Administrative Director for Performance Improvement and Care Management; and Averie Baynes, Performance Improvement and Risk Management.
