SJEH OD's Host Poster Contest

The Osteopathic Medicine Residency Program at St. John's Episcopal Hospital recently announced the winners of its first annual poster competition held on April 30, 2006. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners. Family practice resident Lawrence Schiffman, DO, took first place in the Hospital's competition with his poster on "Metastatic Malignant Melanoma."

Taking third place were Michele Coleman, DO (left), and Danielle Saint-Leger, DO, intern (right), for their poster entitled "Osteopathic Manipulation in the Treatment of Ileus: A Case Study." Norma Montiel, DO, (center) dermatology graduate, won second place at the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society/Eastern Regional Osteopathic Conference poster competition. Her poster was entitled "Necrolytic Acral Erythema."
