PS 47 Students Receive Awards

P.S. 47 Students Receive Awards for Third Place and Honorary Mention at the Region's Technology Festival At the Ramada Plaza at JFK Airport. Pictured, second graders Kelsey Trudden, and her cousin Matthew Trudden, and Kelsey's little brother Brandon, show off the computer with the 3rd place winning project at the Community Night celebration at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on June 7th. The project called "Chirp! Splash! Hop! Hop! " is a web quest the 4th grade students designed on the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge.

Mrs. Boyle and her daughter Kaitlyn, 2nd grade; Klaudia Dabrowska, 4th grade; and Victoria Henglein, 2nd grade, and her mother Mrs. Henglein, show off the trophy, medals and certificates they received at the awards ceremony on June 13th. Kaitlyn and Victoria won honorary mention for their second grade projects on the water cycle. Klaudia received the trophy for 3rd Place for the fourth grade project on the Jamaica Bay Wildlife refuge.
