PS 225 Celebrates Basketball Trophy Day

PS 225 held its First Annual Basketball Trophy Day to celebrate their team's accomplishments. The 225 "Dolphins" improved greatly in their first season, with victories over PS 114 and PS 197. The league, started by Basketball Commissioner Joe Lunati from the Scholars' Academy at JHS 180, consists of eight schools. The Parent's Association of PS 225 sponsored the event in the library and awarded team trophies to the students for all of their hard work. P.A. President Sandra Ojeda and Treasurer Alexandria Ridgel provided the trophies and food for the event. The team is pictured displaying their awards with Ojeda, Ridgel, PS 225 Principal, Matthew Melchiorre, Assistant Principals Nicole Kelly and Tammy Holloway, and Coach, Warren Berndt.
