St. Thomas More Wins Fourth Grade Girls' Soccer Title

The St. Thomas More "Uniques" 4th Grade Girls team recently captured the CYO Brooklyn- Queens Diocesan soccer championship. The title game was a very well played contest. The fifteen girls on the team played their hearts out all season long for Coach Kathy Kirker, who was assisted by Vin Harkins.

The team would like to thank the assistance of St. Thomas More Parish, Monsignor Curran, the STM sports program and soccer coordinator Mr. Tom Smith, who is departing the program.

The players on St. Thomas More were: Elora Barbosa, Kelly Doyle, Emily Bruder, Aly Kennedy, Maggie McDermott, Victoria Young and Emily Schwartz, Brigid Regan, Courtney Lind, Kristen Sullivan, Casey Lind, Shyanne Hartman, Morgan Fleming and Kirsten Kirker.

The members of the St. Thomas More eighth grade championship soccer team are departing for high school and would like to be thanked for all of their excellence: Anne Rorke, Casey Cowan, Kara Egan, Emma Wolfe, Molly Tacopina, Alley Plaia, Jackie Kennedy, Megan McGoorty, Krysten Schreiner, Dana Distable, Sarah McCarthy, Lauren Jamin, Bridget Kinane, Deidre Smith, Jennifer Jamin, Olivia Ross, Justina Johnson, Catherine McNamee and Katy Kirker.
