Rockaway Students Exhibit Art Work At KidSplash
All public and private schools in the Rockaways and surrounding area and from the RAA's KidsmArt program were recently asked to submit their exemplary pieces to a special show, KidSplash, which the RAA hosted at its Fort Tilden gallery. The show was a partnership of the RAA, The Department of Education's Region Five, and the National Park Service. Public school art teachers Norma Allende and Jo Anne Ellis of the RAA conceived and organized the exhibit, evaluating all of the student work for technical proficiency, originality and individuality. The work at the exhibit represents a number of different mediums. Pictured, some of the students with their work.
