Dominick Dunne Is Hospitalized

+ 12:00 noon on UHF Chs. 35 & 26 Monday - Friday Dominick Dunne, best selling author, Vanity Fair Special Correspondent, Host of Court TV's Power, Privilege and Justice and victim's right advocate. Mr. Dunne's daughter was strangled in 1982 at the age of 22 by an ex-boyfriend who stalked her. Dominick Dunne was to host the Zero Tolerance benefit sanctuary for families at Pier 60 the other evening.

It was a beautiful evening. Droves of guests showed up to partake for the delicious, exotic pass-arounds and beautifully prepared and presented sit down fish dinner. Wonderful, caring people who bid at the silent auction and bought raffle tickets to win the magnificent Vespa LX 150 Scooter, which took center stage, valued at $4,199 donated by Melissa and Daniel Berger. This benefit was a celebration of finding sanctuary for the victims of Domestic Violence, which had been ignored for many, many years. The Corporate Vision Award went to Latria Group for being a trailblazer in identifying domestic violence as a critical issue to be addressed through corporate philanthropy. Forty-six million dollars was contributed to strengthen victims to become survivors. Altrai believes "Everyone deserves to lead a life free of violence and is proud to be pampering with a Sanctuary for families to make a vision a reality. Sanctuary is the largest agency in New York State offering integrated legal help, clinical shelter and economic stability services exclusively for domestic violence victims.

A celebration for the Lifestyle of Italy and their National Day was held at Wall Street's Cipriani's. They had a partitioned room with poster-sized pictures of stars of former Italian Films: Gina Lollobridgida, Marcello Mastrantonio, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner and more. A sample of Italian designs was also displayed.
