Congratulations go out to Coach Richard Washington and his New York City Housing Authority, (NYCHA) Lacrosse Boys team (ages 11-14). The team performed well as they were taking the field for the first time at the Yale University Youth Jamboree. The team played with a lot of passion in winning our first game against Hamden, Connecticut. The format was nine games and after 20-30 minutes of playing time, teams would exchange fields and opponents for another match.

The boys adrenaline flowed at a steady pace as they moved on from playing one game to the next. The NYCHA Lacrosse team had a lot of fun, excitement and attitude for what was a great day of lacrosse.

Any Rockaway youth who are interested in participating and/or winning a spot on and with our NYCHA Lacrosse travel team to the Las Vegas- New York Lacrosse Friendship Games, please contact Coach Washington at 718-471-0236.
