Broad Channel Barracudas Defeat Caps To Clinch Final Hockey Long Island Playoff Berth

The Broad Channel Barracudas of the Hockey Long Island League thrashed the EC Caps 13-5 in the final game of the regular season last Tuesday night to make the playoffs. In a do or die situation, the Barracudas secured a win and evened their record to an overall 6-6 record, which earned them a postseason berth. Kevin James scored the first of 4 goals in the opening period and the Barracudas would eventually jump out to theur biggest margin, a 9-3 lead, by the beginning of the third period. Broad Channel, who are playing in their first season in the Hockey Long Island League, will await their first round opponent in a game to be held next week.
