PS 183 Music Memory Program

Students of PS 183 won second place in the Lincoln Center-Alice Tully Music Memory Annual Citywide Competition on Monday, May 8.

For the past three years, PS 183, whose Principal is Renee Peart, has captured first place in the competition, and has been known as "the school to beat." They received second place this year, missing one note in the last song of the competition.

The Music Memory Program competition involves over 60 schools from all five boroughs of New York City, with 26 competing in this year's finals. Music director of PS 183's team, Martin Penzer, teachers and directs team members Earl Collins, Marquise Glover, Tyannah Johnson, Mudassir Mumtaz, Oreo Oloruntoba, Ozair Uddin, Elijah Bynum, Ebony Denard, Shanelle Haynes, Eseosa Odigie, Ana Solares and Kvien Stukes.

The annual sponsor for the Music Memory Program at PS 183 is the Rockaway Music and Arts Council (RMAC).
