100 Precinct Seeking Volunteers APO's

The 100 Precinct is actively seeking volunteers for their Auxiliary Police units. If you live or work within New York City are at least 17 years old and are interested in assisting the community and police department, you are welcome to join the Auxiliary Police.

Volunteers will receive training by the New York City Police Department in police science, social science, criminal law, self-defense, first aid and other related subjects. All training classes are conducted at the 100 Precinct.

Some of the duties performed by the Auxiliary Police include: uniform patrol with a partner at residential and commercial areas, special events such as street fairs and parades, bicycle patrol, school and church crossings, assisting in traffic and crowd control, and other police related duties.

An orientation session has been scheduled.
