Relay For Life, June 10

The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, a celebration of life in honor and in memory of those whose lives have been touched by cancer, will take place at Beach Channel High School starting Saturday, June 10.

Teams of eight to fifteen people take turns walking or running around the track at Beach Channel High School, 100-00 Beach Channel Drive in Rockaway Park, all night long. Team members camp out during the duration of the event, enjoying music, food, and entertainment. Registration begins on Saturday, June 10 at 5 p.m., with an Opening Ceremony and Survivor's Lap at 6 p.m., a Luminaria Ceremony at 10 p.m., and a Closing Ceremony on Sunday, June 11 at 7 a.m.
