Thomas A. Braunworth Jr., a Rockaway resident for 31 years coming from Brooklyn, died May 16.
Braunworth, a telephone technician for Verizon, was born in Queens. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. Braunworth was also a member of the Daniel M. O'Connell Post 272 of the American Legion in Rockaway Beach.
Braunworth is survived by his mother, Virginia O'Brien Braunworth; wife, Gerri McCafferty Braunworth; son, Thomas Braunworth III; daughter, Melissa Braunworth; brothers, Michael, Robert, Steven, and John; sister, Carol Olson; and granddaughter, Emma Jade.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 19 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church in Belle Harbor. Interment will be held at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
Lancelot Courtenay Allan Gardner, a Rockaway resident for 10 years, died May 5. He was 39.
Gardner, an accountant, was born on January 30, 1967 in Port Maria, St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Russell Sage Memorial Church in Far Rockaway.
He is survived by his daughters, Courtenay and Crissy-Ann; parents, Leisa and Edmund; siblings, Faith, Maureen, Windsor, Elizabeth and Pansy; mother of his children, Jestine Clarke; and many other relatives and friends.

Thomas E. Hennessy, a Rockaway resident for 37 years coming from Jackson Heights, died May 14.
Hennessy, a travel consultant and owner of Breezy Point Travel, was born on March 18, 1941. He was a past chief of the Rockaway Point Volunteer Fire Department; honorary Deputy Chief for the FDNY; founder of the Emergency Response Digital Alarm System (ERDAS); a past president of the Rockaway Point Association; and a member of the Breezy Point Co-op Safety Committee.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Hennessy.
Hennessy is survived by his wife, Maureen Brennan Hennessy; sons, Thomas P. (Melissa), Michael (Katherine) and Richard (Dawn); daughter, Ann Margaret Gillen (Peter); brother, Richard Hennessy; sister, Dorothy Wolfe; grandchildren, Tommy and Lauren, Colin, Emma and Abigail, Richie, Sean and Kristen.

Shirley A. Milteer, a Rockaway resident for 35 years coming from Brooklyn, died May 10.
Milteer, an interior decorator, was born in Brooklyn.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn L. Rodd; and nephew, Kevin Rodd.

Olga Violeta Sanchez
Olga Violeta Sanchez, a Rockaway resident for 53 years, died May 17. She was 73.
Sanchez, a homemaker, was born on March 21, 1933 in Yauco, Puerto Rico. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Sanchez; children, Nancy Cafarelli, Eva Marquez and Angel Sanchez.
Sanchez is survived by her three daughters, Zulma Malave, Olga Scott and Mary Durant; two sons, Mario and Raymond Sanchez; sons-in-law, Edwin Malave and Reginald Durant; daughters-in-law, Melissa and Susie Sanchez; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Elijah Wheeler, a Rockaway resident for 45 years, died May 5. He was 67.
Wheeler, a porter, was born on October 4, 1938 in Mayesville, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Suddie and Andrew Wheeler.
