The youth of the New York City Housing Authority Lacrosse team were victorious (9 to 1) in their first game of the season against the Manhattan Crusaders. St. John's University gave the youth of the New York City Housing Authority, (NYCHA) and the Rockaway Sports Association (RSA) an outstanding lacrosse clinic, and to top the whole great day off, the kids watched St. Johns vs. Fairfield play an outstanding game last Saturday evening. More ... The Broad Channel Barracudas of the Hockey Long Island League are on their first winning streak of the season. The Barracudas (goalkeeper Brian Williams turns a shot away from a player from Team Peckers) have reversed a 1-4 start to the spring season and equaled their mark to 4-4 with an overtime 5-4 victory against the Scorpions on April 30. The 17 man roster is comprised of Broad Channel and Rockaway players who participated with hockey teams in BCAC or the Rockaway Rockies.
