Poetry Month At PS 215

in the Wavecrest section of Far Rockaway, are celebrating the month of April by reciting original poems as well as poems written by famous and celebrated poets. There will be an assembly at the end of the month, with every class reciting a poem from a celebrated poet. Class 4-336 wrote original poems, which they will perform. Here are a few selections of poetry from the fourth grade:

Excitement Excitement is having a play date with your friends Excitement is feeling happy 'cause you're having a sleepover Excitement is getting ready to read a fun book Excitement is going on a school trip Excitement is... A feeling I have sometimes

Madness What is the color of madness? I say madness is the color red. Madness is feeling turned down So you're angry Madness is... Fighting, arguing and hurting Madness is trouble And need help To me madness is the color Red!

My Brothers Are Annoying My brothers are annoying When I go to the mall My brothers are annoying When I'm talking in the hall My brothers are annoying When I'm playing ball My brothers are annoying When I say "Hi" to Paul

The Special Vine The window's vine Go up and shine I say hello They say good-bye But I'll love you more Than a crazy old vine
