PHC Names Musslewhite As VP
Musselwhite, who was named Vice President of Human Resources, joins the hospital directly from a run as the Director of Employee and Labor Relations at Brooklyn Hospital Center. Musselwhite is an expert in labor relations, competitive bargaining, employee benefits and recruitment.
Musselwhite believes that the hospital's "employees are the key to quality health care." "It's the 24/7, 365 day-a-year nature of the job," he said. It is his intention of keeping the hospital employees up to the minute on guidelines and procedures.
Musselwhite's job as the Vice President of human resources includes keeping the employees aware of any new developments that may affect their job performance. In keeping them abreast of the most current, up-to-date information available, the employees will be in a better position to provide the best patient care possible.
A graduate of Princeton and New York Law School, Musselwhite spent five years as a government affairs lobbyist and approximately 12 years negotiating contracts on behalf of the nurses of the New York State Nursing Association. His plans are soon to move to his new condo on the upper West side of Manhattan with his wife, CaraMia Heart, a medical malpractice defense attorney, and their three year old daughter, Giorgia.
