Moore Gets Rave Reviews For Boxing Win
Television viewers who tune in this Sunday night at 8 p.m. for Sportsnet New York's initial showing of the Broadway Boxing Series will have to quickly catch middleweight James Moore's fight with Chuck Orso.
In his sixth fight of his pro career, the former world amateur boxing bronze medalist took apart his opponent in lighting type fashion. Moore, the Arverne Irish Ropes Boxing club fighter, thoroughly beat Orso (4-7) in only 84 seconds of the first round to win his sixth fight of his career at the Manhattan Center on April 20.
The 28 year old fighter ended the one sided contest with a left hook to the body 1:24 into the first round. The knockdown improved Moore's record to 60 with 5 KO's and sets him up for his next fight, which will return the County Wicklow, Ireland native back to his home country.
On June 3, Moore will fight at the National Stadium in Dublin, Ireland in a boxing promotion which will feature IBC Super Bantamweight World Champion Bernard Dunne in the main event.
