Russell Peters At North Fork Theatre May 12

Live Nation presents North America's premier East Indian comedian, Russell Peters, at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury for one night only on Friday, May 12 at 8 p.m.

Brown bomber Russell Peters may look like he just stepped off the boat from New Delhi, but he is actually part of Canada's multicultural melting pot. He's a first generation AsianCanadian who has developed a unique act based on his heritage and the prejudice he faced (Peters is of Anglo-Indian descent). A master of various dialects and accents, Peters delivers his act perfectly keeping audiences in hysterics across the globe. Russell has been featured in his own comedy specials for CBC-TV,

and is regularly seen on The Comedy Network and Comedy Central, as well as on numerous television programs in the United Kingdom, where he performs regularly by popular demand.

RUSSELL TELLS IT HOW IT IS

On Indian History: "Indian people were taken to South Africa as slaves. Who the hell uses an Indian slave? Do I look physically ready to do hard labor? My people don't work that hard. Give us a calculator-we'll do your taxes, man." On Growing Up in a Multicultural Society: "When I was a kid, I wanted to be Jamaican so bad, I started dressing like a Jamaican. I started wearing a little red, yellow and green belt. I started talking like a Jamaican. I started listening to Reggae music. I started having kids I didn't know about."

On Inter-Racial Marriage: "Hook up a Jamaican with an Italian: they can have little Pastafarians. I could hook up with a Jewish girl: we could have little Hinjews. You get a woman from the Philippines, a guy from Holland: little Holapenos. A guy from Cuba, a woman from Iceland: little Ice Cubes. A French and a Greek: Freek. A German and a Newfie: little Goofies. It's going to happen."
