'Golden Boys' - Avalon, Fabian, Rydell April 29
Live Nation is pleased to announce The 2006 Solig Gold Concert Series at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury continues on Saturday, April 29 at 8 p.m. with Dick Fox's Golden Boys: Frankie Avalon, Fabian, and Bobby Rydell. They continue to pack venues throughout the country and have been called "one of the most exciting acts in show business."
This show unites three exciting performers who emerged from the same South Philadelphia neighborhood at the same time, and went on to become world-renowned personalities. The Golden Boys spotlights each of the performers and their all-time greatest hits, "Venus," "De De Dinah," and "Bobby Sox To Stockings" (Avalon); "Volare," "Wild One" and "Kissing Time" (Rydell); "Turn Me Loose," "Tiger" and "I'm A Man" (Fabian). The three stars combine their talents on several songs and perform a tribute to the material of Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson and Bill Haley.
Featuring three of the most popular teen idols of the 50's and 60's, The Golden Boys have proved to be an overwhelming live concert success. Countless television appearances, a special performance for the President of the United States and a Golden Boys PBS special have brought on a vast audience of fans, not only from the fun generation, but from all generations. The idea to unite these three Philly singers originated with veteran producer Dick Fox, who has become increasingly impressed with audience response to his concerts featuring 50's and 60's artists in the last four to five years.
