Vincent J. Cincotta, a Rockaway resident for eight years coming from Brooklyn, died March 28.

Cincotta, a proprietor, was born in Brooklyn.

He is survived by his sisters, Connie Venturino, Grace Bonatakis and Antoinette Washington.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment was held at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village.

Robert W. Dawe

Attorney

Robert W. Dawe, a Rockaway resident for 25 years, died March 23.

Dawe, an attorney, was born in Brooklyn. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Dawe was preceded in death by his brother, Charles.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Dawe (nee Carroll); sons, Robert Dawe, MD (Jean), Timothy (Nora), and Kevin; daughter, Ruth Marconi (Chris); sister, Marilyn Iovino; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment was held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Lucy Fleischer

Longtime Rockaway Resident

Lucy Fleischer, a Rockaway resident for 67 years, died March 23. She was 100.

Fleischer was a life member of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El of Rockaway Park. She was also a life member of Hadassah of Rockaway Park. Her daughter, Jean Mirkin, who is married to Dr. Allen Mirkin of Mirkin Vision Care in Rockaway Park, said her mother "was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Her creed was to be useful, good and cheerful."

She is survived by her daughters, Jean Mirkin (Dr. Allen Mirkin), and Dr. Joyce Edelman (Mark); son, Bernard (Beth); eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were kept private.

Judy Diana Frazier

Longtime Rockaway Resident

Judy Diana Frazier, a Rockaway resident for over 30 years, died March 11. She was 41.

Frazier was born on May 7, 1964 in Brooklyn.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Frazier; brother, Jack; sisters, Shirley, Juanita and Sally; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was held at Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, New Jersey.

Doris Lomax

Florist

Doris Lomax, a Rockaway resident for over 30 years, died March 25. She was 74.

Lomax, a florist, was born on August 11, 1931 in McCormick, South Carolina. She was a member of the First Church of God in Jamaica, New York.

She was preceded in death by five siblings.

Lomax is survived by her sister, Ruth Randolph; brother, Robert L. Lomax; two aunts, Gladys Turner and Berthina Garnett; sisters-in-law, Jeannean Lomax, Catherine Lomax, Rose Lomax, and Emma Lomax; brother-in-law, John P. Randolph, Sr.; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation was held at the First Church of God in Jamaica, Queens. Interment was held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens.

Eva Minor

Caregiver

Eva Minor, a Rockaway resident for over 50 years, died March 20. She was 85.

Minor, a caregiver, was born on July 6, 1920 in Estill, South Carolina.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Venable-Mills; son-in-law, Ronald Mills Jr.; granddaughter, Jordan Mills; sister, Alma Roundtree; nephew, Jerell Venable; special friend, Mary Dickerson; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, visitation was held at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was held at Calverton National Cemetery.

Norman "Red" Ochs

Printing Executive

Norman "Red" Ochs, a former Rockaway resident, died March 29. He was 79.

Ochs, a printing executive, was born on December 2, 1926 in Far Rockaway. Ochs lived in Rockaway until he married in 1960 (for 34 years), but in his heart he never left.

He was the captain of the Far Rockaway High School football and basketball teams and made All-City Basketball. He was a standout sandlot football player for the Greenwald Jewelers as well as a perennial all-star cager for St. Francis de Sales. Ochs also served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945-1947. He was featured in The Wave newspaper in an article written by Kevin Boyle, who remembered Ochs as a "legendary Far Rockaway HS grad and all-around athlete."

Ochs was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Irv.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth.

Funeral arrangements were kept private.

Geneva Noel Patrick

Rockaway Resident

Geneva Noel Patrick, a Rockaway resident for two years, died March 24. She was 27.

Patrick was born on September 19, 1978 in Charleston, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marjorie Holmes.

Patrick is survived by her mother, Denice Holmes-Patrick; father, John Patrick; three brothers, Ian Patrick, Jarel Phifer and Ari Patrick; paternal grandmother, Carrie Phillips; three aunts, Debra Holmes, Theresa Watkins, and Romona Richardson; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to A. Barret Funeral Service in Brooklyn. Interment was held at Frederick Douglass Cemetery in Staten Island.

Joan P. Zeller

Longtime Broad Channel Resident

Joan P. Zeller, a longtime Broad Channel resident, died March 36. She was 74.

Zeller was born in Richmond Hill, Queens on December 16, 1931. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Presbyterian Church By the Sea in Broad Channel and the Golden Age group.

Zeller was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Whitney; husband, William Zeller; and sister, Alice Best.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Whitney; children, Susan, Bill, Carolyn, Robert and Kenneth; and eight grandchildren.

Zeller's family said she would be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church By the Sea, 102 Noel Road, Broad Channel, on Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m. A gathering for refreshments will follow immediately after at the Shad Creek Association, 529 Cross Bay Boulevard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to Christ Presbyterian Church By the Sea.
