Galvin Earns Honors
Galvin Earns Honors Peter A. Galvin, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Peninsula Hospital Center, has been made a Fellow of the American Institute for Healthcare Quality. "The quality of healthcare is a major focus at Peninsula Hospital Center," says Dr. Galvin. "The Hospital Center is a participant in several national quality improvement initiatives and studies. The constant improvements in patient care and quality of care based upon national standards is just one of the ways we strive to deliver top quality care to our patients, both from the prospective of the Hospital Center and our physicians." Dr. Galvin is a life-long resident of the Rockaways and began his academic career at St. Francis de Sales grammar school. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and New York Medical College and has been in practice since 1983. He, together with Dr. Mark Skalski, runs an Internal Medicine practice in Rockaway Park. Dr. Galvin and his wife, Maryellen, along with their four children, live in Rockaway Park. Pictured, from left: Peter A.
