Beach Channel Blood Drive A Success

The students and staff of Beach Channel High School hosted a successful blood drive on Wednesday, March 8, where 104 students signed up and 80 pints of blood were collected.

Josh Kagzanov, a student at Beach Channel High School, gave blood for the first time in his life. "I thought it would hurt and take a long while, but I thought wrong. It was fun, as many of my friends were there with me. It wasn't even painful," said Kagzanov. "They stuck a needle in my arm and four minutes later the pint was filled to the top.

It was a great feeling to know that Beach Channel High School saved the lives of many people by having this blood drive. From this experience I am thinking of becoming a regular blood donor, which means I can give blood every 56 days."
