100 Precinct Community Council News

The regular monthly meeting of the 100th Precinct Community Council will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 333 Beach 90 Street.

Due to some technical difficulties, guest speaker Captain Charles Neacy has been re-scheduled to give his "Cold Case" Powerpoint presentation at this meeting. Also on hand will be Police Officer Brian McCabe. Officer McCabe will have a table set up to sign up and provide information on the various crime prevention programs offered by the NYPD. One very important program is Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Etching. Taking advantage of this program will enable the car owner to receive a five percent reduction in their insurance coverage.

We are currently accepting reservations for the Community Dinner/ Dance Cruise. The cruise is being held on Saturday, July 15, 2006, with boarding at Riis Landing beginning at 6:30 p.m. and departure promptly at 7 p.m. The boat will be returning by 11 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person and includes an open bar, hot hors d'oeuvres, hot buffet dinner and dancing on the upper deck. Reservations and other information may be obtained by contacting Jate or Sandee Doremus at (718) 474-8246, Nancy Woods at (718) 945-2891, Danny Ruscillo at (718) 474-6145 or Joe Young at (718) 634-6286.
