Southern Rock At NorthFork Theatre March 17

LIVE NATION presents The Outlaws, one of the classic Southern Rock acts of the 1970s, at the North Fork Theatre at Westbury on Friday, March 17 for a night of country rock with special guests The Renegades and Blackberry Smoke.

The Outlaws, formed in Tampa, Florida in the late sixties and after a year of intensive touring became the first rock acts signed to Arista Records under Clive Davis in 1972. Their self titled 1975 album spotlighted their Eagles influenced harmonies and Allman Brothers like guitar attack, yielding the Top 40 Hit "There Goes Another Love Song" and the album rock classic "Green Grass & High Tides." The Outlaws are Hughie Thomasson, Monte Yoho, Dave Dix, along with latter day Outlaws Chris Anderson and Randy Threet. In addition to classics like "Ghost Riders In the Sky," and "Hurry Sundown," the show highlights a few songs from the new cd the guys are recording.
