BCHS Student Competes In Shakespeare Contest


Beach Channel High School Drama Club member James Wright won the English Speaking Union's Shakespeare Competition on Wednesday, March 8. The senior's victory at the Queens Borough Finals is the first win for the school in 13 years. Wright, aided by Beach Channel Drama Director Marjorie Damashek Levine, continued on to the New York City finals that were held on Friday, March 10. The winner of the New York Finals is awarded  $750 and the chance to compete at the National Competition at Lincoln Center on April 24.
