The event was part of the West End Temple’s “Mitzvah a Month” program, aimed at providing opportunities for students to engage in a variety of community service activities.

With the supervision of rabbinical students from Hebrew Union College, the children helped set up, served hot meals, conversed with the guests and cleaned up afterwards. They also assisted in distributing much-needed clothing donated by West End Temple members and community residents.
