A Brooklyn man was intoxicated last Friday night when he lost control of his 1998 Nissan Altima and smashed into a tree on Cross Bay Boulevard in Broad Channel, police said. Daniel R. Roman, 55, was placed under arrest after he was extracted from his vehicle at about 7:30 p.m. He was taken by EMS ambulance to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.
