Delivering The Wrong Message

When the railing on a ramp leading to the United States Post Office building on Beach 86 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard started leaning to the right about a month ago, many locals who use that office figured that it would be quickly repaired because it was dangerous to those who use wheelchairs and walkers. Instead, the railing continued to deteriorate and is now entirely gone, replaced by an even more dangerous piece of yellow tape. USPS officials tell us that a work order for the repair has been filed.
