PS 106 Focuses On “ELA All The Way”

Marcella M. Sills, newly appointed principal of P.S. 106Q, along with proctors, teaching staff and students of grades 3, 4 and 5, donned their “lucky shirts” on recent testing days for NYC schools. The shirts, which were imprinted with the message, “P.S.106Q A Community of Learners – ELA ALL THE WAY!” brightened the corridors and classrooms during the recently administrated New York State English Language Arts Exam. The students were smiling and exuding confidence as they sat for their two and three day tests. High spirits were contagious as the students passed through the halls proudly wearing their test day shirts. Supportive and other school staff members gave them thumbs up and greeted them with “Good Luck!” and “Do Your Best!” Pictured, Erin Gomez, Jeremiah McClean, Skiy Pyrame, Chynna Thurston, Clarice Hinds, Lena Narain, Ashmini Persaud and Antoinette Edwards, Staff members shown are: Regina Parker, Sparkle-Ann Edwards, Didi Matt and Assistant Principal B. J’ai Pierce.
