Color Mixing on a Winter Day At PS 43

Art teacher Jo Anne Ellis came to Mrs. Klein’s Pre-K Class 104 at PS 43 to talk about color mixing. She demonstrated how to blend yellow, red, and blue to create other colors. The children were very enthusiastic and some assisted. Ellis read the book “Color Dance” to them and they saw how many colors are blended into new ones. This was the beginning of a project on Color. Ms. Ellis introduced Color to our class, and from there, the children began experimenting and discovering on their own. The children worked cooperatively and created a 10 foot mural. Thanks, Ms. Ellis.from Rose Klein
