Valley Of The Kings At St. Francis de Sales
The sixth grade students at St. Francis de Sales recently finished a history unit on ancient Egypt. At the suggestion of a kindergarten teacher, an Egypt buff herself, the students turned their hall into the Valley of the Kings. Students worked on crowns for the pharaohs; pyramids and hieroglyphics in class; and also researched Egyptian burial practices. The results were hung in the hall where parents and visitors could view the students’ work for the month of November.
