In November, each student wrote a letter to Random House Publishing requesting his or her favorite book. The company honored each student’s request, and on December 23 students were presented with their book wrapped in holiday paper, complete with a personalized message.

Michelle Poploff, an editor at Random House Children’s Publishing, and a former graduate of PS 105, was on hand with coworker Barrie Kerper, Santa, and his helpers.

To show their appreciation, the students of PS/MS 105 created a quilt that was presented to Poploff and Kerper.

The event was a collaborative effort between PS/MS 105, The Robin Hood Foundation, Random House Children’s Publishing; and was coordinated by Helen Feldman-Goldstein, librarian of PS/MS 105.
