Local Disabled Students Visit ‘Little North Pole’

About 250 disabled public school children enjoyed a day of fun with Santa, Tigger,

Simba and Tweety Bird on Friday, December 23. Joseph and Maritza Mure, who

annually convert their Neponsit home into the “Little North Pole,” a winter wonderland for the entire community to enjoy, hosted the children with the help of their

friends, Don Hart, Patty Cashman, Joe Gambino, Kevin Farras, Joe McGoorty and

Palmer Doyle. Organizers wished to thank the following for their contributions: PS 256 Principal Oswaldo Roman, The Beach Club, Paul Maddelone, Captain Ken

Whelan, members of FDNY Engine 268, and parents and teachers.
