for larger version       Rockaway Development Day Set For 12/11 City Council Member James Sanders, Jr. will bring together some of the most prominent developers, small and local businesses, and community residents who are seeking business and job opportunities for Rockaway Development Day. Those seeking employment should bring their resumes to the event, which will be held on December 11, 2 p.m., at MS 198, 365 Beach 57 Street in Arverne. Among the invited are elected officials, civic leaders, various city agencies, and local community based organizations. “This event will create a great opportunity for my community. I am urging all who want to have a say in the development of the Rockaways, and the forthcoming Arverne East Project, to attend,” stated Sanders. The Rockaway Development Day is designed to give residents the opportunity to obtain employment; and entrepreneurs, small and local businesses, primarily minority or women-owned enterprises, the ability to network and obtain contracts.
