Republican Club Welcomes Senate Candidate

The Rockaway Republican Club held its monthly meeting at The Belle Harbor Yacht Club last week. The guest speaker was John Spencer, (second from right), conservative candidate for the U.S. Senate who will challenge Hillary Clinton. Spencer, a Vietnam Veteran, is the former two-term mayor of Yonkers, the fourth largest city in the state. Among the issues Spencer addressed was his support of the President on the war in Iraq; his pro-life stance on abortion; his position on stem cell research, gun control, and the revitalization of our waterways.
