Nor’easter Carves Up The Coastline

Tuesday’s nor’easter brought high winds, high seas and 2 more inches of rainfall to the New York area. The storm turned the Rockaway coastline into a playground for daredevil surfers and a spectacle for wave watchers and photographers alike. In this photo taken on Beach 103 Street, Rockaway Park resident Jonathan Farrell stands at the tip of a finger of sand carved out by the pounding surf. See Page 20 for more striking photos from the storm.
