Tribute Park Bricks Are In, Gate Looks Great

With the clock ticking down toward opening day the commemorative bricks and plaques, and the ornamental gate, have been installed at Tribute Park. The gate, being opened here by project coordinator Dan Mundy, was designed by Rockaway Artist Alliance president Geoff Rawling and was constructed by Bracci Fence and Ironwork. It features a crab and a blue heron with a small fish in its mouth (near Mundy’s right hand). The opening ceremony is set for Sunday, November 6, with refreshments at 2 p.m. and the program at 2:30 p.m. sharp. Contact the Chamber of Commerce at (718) 634-1300 or RockawayChamber@AOL.com for more information.
