The new hours include 21 locations that are open Saturdays and six that are open on Sundays. “Thanks to solid support from Mayor Bloomberg, the City Council, and Borough President Marshall, we continue to rebuild our service hours and collections following several years of budget cuts,” said Library Director Thomas W. Galante. Arverne Branch- Monday, 1-8 p.m.; Tuesday, 1-6 p.m.; Wednesday, 10-6 p.m.; Thursday, 10-6 p.m.; Friday, 1-6 p.m.; Saturday, Closed; Sunday, Closed. Broad Channel Branch- Monday, 1-8 p.m.; Tuesday, 1-6 p.m.; Wednesday, 10-6 p.m.; Thursday, 10-6 p.m.; Friday, 1-6 p.m.; Saturday, Closed; Sunday, Closed. Far Rockaway Branch- Monday, 1-8 p.m; Tuesday, 1-6 p.m.; Wednesday, 10-8 p.m.; Thursday, 10-8 p.m.; Friday, 10-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10-5 p.m.; Sunday, Closed.
