Police Make Fowl Find On Addabbo Bridge

Several large black trash bags containing the feathered body parts of dead chickens sparked a suspicious package investigation Sunday, October 23 on the Joseph Addabbo Memorial Bridge, police said. The picnic areas on both sides of Cross Bay Boulevard at the southern foot of the bridge are often the site of religious ceremonies, and police think that’s how the birds wound up there. The area is also populated with enormous water rats that feed on the food items that people leave behind there.
