Jackson Soul Food Kitchen: Authentic Home Cooking In The Southern Tradition

Jackson’s Soul Food Kitchen, located at 92-12 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Rockaway Beach, promises “authentic home cooking in the Southern tradition.” The restaurant features such dishes as fried chicken, fried whiting fish, ox tails, macaroni and cheese, cabbage and collard greens. Cornbread and sweet potato pies are made on site. “I am My Brother’s Keeper” ministry is located above the restaurant, where the owners, Patrice Jackson and Pastor Catherine Jackson have their ministry.

The restaurant’s steam table shows off some of the restaurant’s special dishes. The restaurant is available for both eat-in and take-out, and combines a casual dining atmosphere with plain good eating.
