BCAC Peanut Shamrocks Successful With Road Victory Over Glen Cove

The Shamrocks Peanuts scored 3 rushing TD’s against the Glen Cove Cardinals this past Sunday. Jordan Jessup led the rushing attack with many key runs including a 30 yard TD in the 1 st half. Michael Mure had a 35 Yard TD breaking tackle after tackle against a tough Cardinal defense, other runners contributing to the attack included Theo Stathis, Steven Kenny, Tristen Dougherty, Danny Hoff, Richard Wood and Charlie Bostwick. Key blocking on the offensive line were by Brian Feimer, Charlie Bostwick, Justin Carricato, Kieran Mills and Jordan Jessup. Matthew Ostrander and Patrick Minihane were outstanding at Center making key blocks and flawless QB exchanges.

The defense held it’s own against a tough running game. Linebackers Luke Hanning, Danny Hoff, Kieran Mills, Richard Wood and Lineman Aidan Murray, Sal Morello and Liam Malsy made several stops. Jordan Jessup was all over the field recording several sacks and key tackles.

Theo Stathis (pictured with ball) took a handoff with 30 seconds left in the game, broke several tackles and then sprinted 40 yards for his 1st TD of the season. The coaches were extremely proud of their players and would like to thank all of the parents for attending the game to cheer on their Shamrocks.

Practice Tuesday and Thursday 6p.m. Sharp- Next Game (HOME) on Saturday October 1, 2005 5 p.m. at Broad Channel Field.
