for larger version       Extended Hours At The Post Office Window lobby hours at Rockaway’s main post office have been extended. As of Saturday, October 1, the Far Rockaway Main Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. The new hours are only available at the main office, located at 1836 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway. As a kick-off for the new hours, during the month of October the post office will be processing passports until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, to accommodate those who can take advantage of later hours.
