Four Car Accident Injures Three, Slows BCD

A four-car accident at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday left three people seeking medical assistance at local hospitals and the streets around Beach Channel Drive and Beach 129 Street in clogged with traffic. According to an eyewitness who was driving just behind the accident cars, an automobile attempting to make a left turn onto Beach 129 Street from Beach Channel Drive was hit and forced into a pole by a car coming in the opposite direction. An SUV, going eastbound from the Marine Parkway Bridge, attempting to maneuver around the accident, hit another westbound car head on, causing the most serious accident of the day. Pictured, the four cars in the accident. The first two cars stand next to the pole on the southeast corner of the intersection. The SUV stands on the sidewalk at the opposite end of the block. The ambulance stands next to the car that was hit by the SUV attempting to stay out of the initial accident.

Firefighters work to take the unidentified motorist from his car. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
