Shamrocks Run Over Plainedge Red

Peanuts’ Steven Kenny, Aidan Murray, Liam Malsy and Liam Abell look on from the sideline.
The BCAC Shamrocks Peanuts were victorious in their Home Opener against Plainedge Red by a score of 18-12. The defense opened the game forcing a quick 4 and out with big plays from their Defensive Line of Jake Murphy, Liam Malsy, Aidan Murray, Sal Morello, Liam Abell and LB’s Luke Hanning and Justin Carricato.

On the Shamrocks first offensive possession, Jordan Jessup took his 1st handoff and bolted 60 yards for the Shamrocks first TD of the night, it was Jordan’s 2nd TD of the season. The Shamrocks had a huge day running the ball led by Kieran Mills (TD), Michael Mure (TD), Tristen Dougherty, Matthew Ostrander, Patrick Minihane, Steven Kenny, Theodore Stathis, and Richard Wood. Charlie Bostwick had a key run in the 3rd quarter dragging several defenders for a first down. Theodore Stathis, Richard Wood and Jordan Jessup all shared QB duties. Jordan Jessup completed the Peanuts 1st pass of the season to Brian Feimer who made an excellent catch and then carried 4 defensive players for an 8 yard gain.

With the score 18-12 Plainedge Red had the ball on the Shamrocks 45 yard line with 10 seconds left, they ran a sweep to the right side and Richard Wood made a game saving tackle preserving the Shamrocks victory.

Coaches Mike Malsy, Frank Malone, Thomas Dougherty, Charlie Bostwick, Kieran Mills and Bill Murray were all pleased with the Shamrocks performance.

Practice will take place every Tuesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. Sharp.
